The Spitfire IX was one of the last versions of the Spitfire fitted with a Merlin engine.
There is a lot of goog with this kit, but unfortunately there's some bad too. The worst thing is the instruction which have errors in. Mainly they indicate the wrong set of upper wings, which don't fit. I think the other set of upper wings would fit the lower better. The cockpit looks kit out of the box and the fuselage fits quite nicely. The lower wings fits OK, so I can only assume that the upper wing fit would be OK too if the correct versions were indicated and used. Even with the problems, the result is OK and I'm happy enough with the result.
